RHEOLATE® 425

NPE-free, hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsion. Acts as an economical and versatile rheological additive (thickener) for waterborne systems. Provides high thickening efficiency in medium shear rate range and very good balance between sag resistance and leveling properties. Gives high shear rate viscosity and great brush drag. Offers thixotropic rheology, package viscosity, anti-settling properties, very good spray properties, good block resistance and compatibility with clay-based, cellulosic and associative thickeners. Reduces syneresis, spattering during roller application and early blistering in acrylic systems. Improves roller application hiding power and freeze/thaw stability. Maintains good levels. Used for applications like gloss, semi-gloss and matt emulsion paints, industrial coatings, vinyl chloride emulsions, water-reducible/polyester, epoxy, acrylics, urethanes and others, and inks.
