Bentone® 54

Bentone® 54 by Elementis acts as a rheology modifier. It increases viscosity, provides thixotropy, prevents pigment settling during storage and improves flow & leveling. It controls sagging on vertical surfaces & penetration on porous substrates and prevents syneresis in thixotropic systems.

• It offers improved dispersibility that increases flexibility in the paint manufacturing process.
• Designed for low to intermediate polarity organic systems.
• Applications include anti-corrosive paints, industrial finishes, interior & exterior house paints including do-it- yourself paints, primers, printing inks, road marking paints.
• Recommended dosage level is between 0.2-1.0% (dry) based on total system weight for decorative paints.
• Bentone® 54 has a shelf life of 4 years.
