Bentone® 52

Bentone® 52 by Elementis acts as a highly efficient and cost-effective rheological additive for low- to medium-polarity solvent systems. It is an organic derivative of bentonite clay. It provides good thixotropy and increases viscosity. It improves flow and leveling.

• It prevents pigment settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems.
• It controls sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates.
• Bentone® 52 is used for anti-corrosive paints, automotive finishes and primers, coil coating systems, and decorative paints.
• Other applications includes foundry paints, industrial paints- stoving and air drying, interior and exterior house paints, primers, varnishes and wood stains.
