DOWSIL™ 11 Additive

DOWSIL™ 11 Additive by Dow is a reactive silicone glycol surfactant with carbinol functionality. It acts as a mar-resistance, leveling, wetting, defoaming and dispersing agent in solvent based applications. It reduces coefficient of friction. It can correct glossing, pinholing and fisheyes. Offers slip, recoatability and prevents pigment separation. Shows no contamination. Possesses compatibility with acrylic, alkyd, amide, epoxy, nitrocellulose, polyesters, polyurethane and vinyl systems. DOWSIL™ 11 Additive includes wood coatings, automotive refinishing and UV-cured flexographic ink. It is effective at low concentrations typically effective at concentrations from 0.05-0.5 weight percent, based upon formulation. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
