ACRYSOL™ RM-1600

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Dow
ACRYSOL™ RM-1600 by Dow is a hydrophobically modified ethylene oxide urethane (HEUR). Acts as a non-ionic rheology modifier and ICI-building associative thickener based on proprietary technology. It is a solvent- and surfactant (APEO) free product. Exhibits Newtonian rheology profile, spatter resistance, viscosity stabilization and improved syneresis resistance in broad formulation latitude.
  • It offers improved surface aesthetics, minimal mid-shear rheology response, minimal KU contribution for improved cost-in-use, broad formulation latitude and excellent thickening efficiency without compromising stability.
  • Provides good film build-up with excellent flow & levelling, flexibility, surface smoothness, applied hiding and low odor.
  • It is easy to handle and incorporate during the manufacturing process.
  • It is an excellent fit for high active solids content, EVOQUE Pre-Composite Polymer, hydrophobic, small particle size binder formulations and high tint-loading formulations where maintaining viscosity is desired.
  • It is used in low VOC solvent-free and water-based high gloss trim paints, highly toned deep base paints and accent paints.
