Deuteron® OG 250

Stabilized aqueous paraffin dispersion. Has an impact on surface characteristics of aqueous coating systems. The low melting point of the used paraffin-wax reduces unwelcome high slipperiness of certain binders (dispersions). Improves the blocking stability and scrub resistance of water based coatings. The product confers improved water repellant properties. Depending on dosage and used binder the gloss can be reduced. Experiences have shown that in combination with certain binders distinct matting effects can occur. Possibly this results from the incompatibility of paraffin-wax respective the stabilizer which is used in Deuteron® OG 250 and the binder contained in the aqueous lacquer. This way water based coatings of low film thickness or printing inks can be flattened. Agglomerates, caused by matting agents of insufficient particle size, will not spoil the coatings surface. Used in aqueous finishing lacquers, packing lacquers, printing inks and aqueous wood stains as well as soft-feeling lacquers for industrial application (combined with matting plastic DEUTERON MK). Dosage: Depending upon requirement 1.0 - 5.0 % calculated on the total formulation.
