Emulsogen® LCN 158

Emulsogen® LCN 158 by Clariant is a low-VOC, APEO/NPEO-free, solvent-free, non-ionic emulsifier for emulsion polymerization and process aid. It is a compatibilizer for water and solvent-borne high PVC paints and low PVC lacquers. It also acts as a wetting agent for optimized processing time of paints. It improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. In waterborne acrylic lacquers, it improves tinting strength, reduces rub-out and water absorption. This preservative-free, FDA approved & readily biodegradable grade is compatible with solvent-borne alkyd binder system. It is designed for emulsion polymerization, waterborne paints and decorative paints. The recommended dosage for pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl acetate and styrene butadiene is 2%. The shelf life of Emulsogen® LCN 158 is 730 days.
