Emulsogen® FT

Emulsogen® FT by Clariant is an anionic, highly economical, sodium salt of phosphated polyalkylene glycol ether block copolymer. Acts as an emulsifier, surfactant and post additive for freeze-thaw stable polymer latexes. It is soluble in water at 20°C. Exhibits wet scrub resistance and has no negative influence on paint performance. Offers controlled particle size, very low grit levels at high solid contents and high freeze-thaw stability of vinyl acetate latex. Designed for the manufacture of vinyl acetate dispersions such as ethylene-vinyl acetate or vinyl acetate-veova binders. Emulsogen® FT is used in combination with a non-ionic emulsifier such as Emulsogen® LCN 118 or Emulsogen® LCN 287. Recommended dosage ranges from 4.0–8.0 % based on monomers.
