Dispersogen® TAS

Dispersogen® TAS by Clariant is an anionic, low VOC, disodium tallow alkyl sulphosuccinamate available as liquid emulsion. Acts as a universal wetting and dispersing agent for inorganic pigments with positive zeta potential like opaque yellow iron oxide pigments (PY 42). It is free of solvents, alkylphenol ethoxylates and nonylphenol (APEO/NPEO). Compatible with water- & solvent-based acrylic binder, polyurethanes (PU), epoxy resins and alkyd resins. Stabilizes and reduces the viscosity of the dispersion by electrostatic stabilization. Improves the compatibility of water-borne colorants with solvent-based coatings. It is soluble in water (at 25°C) and insoluble in white spirit. Dispersible in ethanol, 1-butanol, butyl glycol, dibasic ester, methoxypropyl acetate (MPA), butyl acetate and xylene. Suitable for water-based & resin-free pigment preparations and partly suitable for resin-based pigment preparation. Complies with REACH (Europe), AICS (Australia), IECSC (China), KECI (Korea), NECI (Taiwan) and TSCA (USA) regulations. Conforms to German Blue Angel (RAL UZ 102:2015) for lacquers & indoor paints, Scandinavian Nordic Swan (version 3.0, 2015) and European Ecoflower (2014/312/EC). Recommended dosage on inorganic pigments and titanium dioxide ranges from 4-10%. Shelf life of Dispersogen® TAS is 2 years.
