Chiguard® 328 by Chitec Technology is an off-white, 2-(3',5'-di-t-amyl-2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzotriazole. Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Exhibits non-yellowing property (during baking stage) and is more solvent soluble & less volatile. It possesses high solubility, better resin compatibility and washfastness than other substituted benzotriazoles. Suitable for polyolefins, styrenics, two-component epoxies and thermoplasic urethane and related polyurethane. Used in thermosetting acrylic enamel, photographic coatings and protective coatings. Recommended use level of Chiguard® 328 ranges between 0.1% and 0.5%.
