DISPERBYK® -2060

DISPERBYK® -2060 by BYK acts as a wetting- and dispersing additive for aqueous and solvent-borne coatings. It is an APEO-free solution of a copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. It displays a broad compatibility in the most diverse coating systems like aqueous alkyd resins or alkyd resin emulsions, acrylate, vinyl acetate, siloxane resin and polyurethane dispersions (blends, e.g. alkyd/polyurethane), solvent-borne long oil alkyd coatings, aromatic-free & high solids systems and thermoplastic acrylic resin systems (TPA). It is suitable for inorganic pigments and carbon blacks. It provides exceptional color strength and excellent rub-out properties. It is used in architectural-, industrial- and automotive- coatings. DISPERBYK® -2060 is recommended for VOC-free pigment concentrates, glycol-containing pastes, aqueous pigment concentrates and effect pigment slurries. The recommended dosage level is 2-5% (effect pigments), 20-50% (carbon blacks), 1-3% (titanium dioxides) and 3-12% (inorganic pigments) of additive based upon total formulation. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
