DISPERBYK® -2000

DISPERBYK® -2000 by BYK is a solution of a structured acrylate copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. It acts as a wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne systems. It deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. It provides electrical charge to pigments. It offers high gloss and improved color strength. It increases transparency and hiding power. It reduces millbase viscosity. It possesses improved levelling, high pigment loading and jetness of carbon black. DISPERBYK® -2000 is used in base- and top coats of automotive. It is especially suitable for CAB-containing base-coats and all top-coats. Recommended addition level is 12-17% for inorganic pigment, 5% for titanium dioxides, 20-70% for organic pigments and 70-140% for carbon blacks. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
