DISPERBYK® 193

DISPERBYK® 193 by BYK is solution of a polyether. Acts as a wetting and dispersing agent for aqueous printing inks. It is designed for binder-containing pigment concentrates. It deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigment. It improves color strength, gloss, transparency, and storage stability of the pigments. It reduces the foaming that often occurs with the use of grinding resins. It provides millbase viscosity reduction. It is cost-effective with good flow properties. DISPERBYK® 193 is used in aqueous gravure, flexographic and screen printing inks. Recommended dosage is 1-3% for titanium dioxide, 4-6% for organic pigment and carbon black. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
