DISPERBYK® -162

Solution of a high molecular weight block copolymer with pigment affinic groups. Acts as a wetting agent and dispersing agent for solvent-borne coatings and prinitng inks. Deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. Provides equal electrical charge to pigments. Increases the transparency and hiding power of the pigments. Offers improved pigment wetting, gloss and color strength. Reduces viscosity, improves leveling and allows high pigment loading. Used in general industrial coatings, coil coatings, automotive refinish, automotive/OEM, wood coatings, pigment concentrates and silk screen printing inks. Also used primarily in wood coatings and in the production of pigment concentrates.
