Micronized organic polymer. Provides improved scratch resistance and sandability. Exhibits improved metal marking resistance and gloss reduction. Offers good matting effect. Reduces penetration speed of fountain solution in offset printing. Improves scratch resistance as well as uniformity of printing ink acceptance and ink setoff. Increases porosity / air permeability. Used in water-borne and solvent-borne paint formulations. Approved under FDA § 176.170 and § 176.180.
