BYK® -4513

BYK® -4513 by BYK is a solution of a polymer with functional groups. Acts as an adhesion promoter for 2K aqueous epoxy systems. It increases the wet and dry adhesion and mechanical resilience, and can also help to improve the corrosion resistance of the coating. The polymeric character of BYK® -4513 and its attachment to the metal-coating interface also provide more flexibility to the film coating. It is silane free and has outstanding storage stability. It is used in industrial and protective coatings. Recommended dosage is 1-5% of additive based upon total formulation. It has a shelf life of 36 months at 20°C.
