BYK® -320

Solution of a polyether modified poly-methyl-alkyl-siloxane. Acts as a silicone based leveling additive with defoaming properties for solvent-borne and aqueous coatings. Provides a slight reduction of surface tension of paint systems. Improves flow and leveling. Displays partial defoaming properties. Prevents the formation of Bénard cells. Exhibits a rise in defoaming activity with increasing coating polarity. Does not exhibits problems with ghosting or telegraphing. Used in automotive and industrial coatings. Particularly suitable for non-polar to medium-polar paint systems.
