Loxanol® EFC 200

Loxanol® EFC 200 by BASF is a propylene glycol monoester of predominantly C-18 fatty acids. It is used as coalescing agent in printing inks, architectural coatings, industrial coatings, construction and building products. Loxanol® EFC 200 offers very good efficiency in reducing the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT). It exhibits improved rheology modifier efficiency. It possesses extremely low VOC content. It provides improved scrub resistance and gloss enhancement. It reduces VOCs of the paints but also improves key performance properties like scrub resistance as it is hydrophobic and improves the quality of coalescence.
