Efka® SL 3236

Efka® SL 3236 (Old name: Efka® 3236) by BASF is a solvent-free modified polysiloxane. Acts as a leveling agent, defoamer and slip control agent. Improves leveling and surface smoothness. Increases slip- & mar-resistance and prevents orange-peel effect or cratering. Avoids formation of Bénard cells (anti-floating effect). Improves overspray acceptance. Used in non-aqueous coatings such as stoving enamels based on alkyd-, acrylic- or polyester resins, acid cured- or polyurethane- wood finishes particularly when applied curtain coating, self-levelling epoxy flooring compounds, UV-cured paper lacquers and air-dried alkyd systems. The recommended dosage is 0.04-0.4% on total formulation.
