Efka® SL 3031

Efka® SL 3031 (old name: Efka® 3031) by BASF is an organically modified polysiloxane in alkylbenzene. Acts as a slip control-, leveling- and anti-blocking- agent. Increases slip and surface smoothness. Prevents cratering and decreases pigment floating. Reduces sensitivity to air-draughts and offers compatibility with all medium to high-polarity solvent based systems. Does not influence curtain stability. Possesses high surface activity. Used in curtain- and metal coatings. Improves mar-resistance. Recommended dosage level of Efka® SL 3031 is 0.1-0.3%. It has a shelf life of 4 years.
