ALTUGLAS® BS 550

Methacrylic co-polymer. ALTUGLAS® BS 520 is a solid spherical bead with high solubility and fluidity. It is a binder of medium molecular weight. It acts as a matting agent. It exhibits exceptional optical quality, outstanding weather resistance, large range of solubility, very good compatibility with other thermoplastics and low residual odor. When dissolved in styrene, it minimizes shrinkage during polymerization of polyester resins. Also used as a binder for acrylic composites, floor coatings and possibly for solvent coatings.
