Methacrylic co-polymer. ALTUGLAS® BS 520 is a solid spherical bead that acts as a binder of relatively high molecular weight. It acts as a matting agent. Also acts as an additive for porous material and polyester resin. It exhibits exceptional optical quality, outstanding weather resistance, large range of solubility, very good compatibility with other thermoplastics and low residual odor. Used in minimizing shrinkage during polymerization of polyester resins. Also used as a binder for acrylic composites and possibly for floor and solvent coatings.
