Chlorinated Rubbers
Like vinyl paints, chlorinated rubber paints dry rapidly and show excellent adhesion to the surface. They are known to coat swimming pools and are widely used in areas where conventional paints may fail to perform. Chlorinated rubber paints display excellent resistance to salt and fresh water and thus find uses in marine applications. They are also resistant to chemicals, abrasion, toxic gases emanated from factories and automobiles, but get degraded by U.V light. They provide fire retardancy due to the presence of chlorine and are proven to be non toxic in nature.
