Color Pigments & Dyes > Inorganic Pigments
Unlike organics, inorganic pigments are based on minerals which are oxides, sulfides of metal(s). Being high refractive index materials, they offer high degree of opacity when compared to organics. They have high chemical, heat and light stability, good abrasion resistance and are more durable and less expensive when compared to organics. Some inorganic pigments are iron oxides, molybdate orange, cadmium zinc yellow, cadmium sulfide yellow, zinc chromate etc.
